Letting Go, a poem

I've just got to
let You
fill in the spaces,
the places where I cannot reach.
There's so much I don't understand;
Questions rush down on me like a waterfall
and I sink under them.
But there You are with open hands
and the only way I can hang on
is if I let go.
So I do.
I release every thought
to You
and let You pull me in Your arms,
rocking me in the memory
of how
You've always taken care of me.
I sink no more
except in Your love, Your grace, Your wisdom.
What You allow,
I accept.
What You give,
I receive.
I
let
go.
~Angelica Young, 2025
Lord, I give You authority over my mind and my thoughts. I take captive and release to You each thought that steals me from being fixed on You. I want to live today in love, obedience and trust. Renew my mind and transform it into the likeness of You, Lord Jesus. Let Your thoughts be my thoughts. Amen.
